Every person has a dream, every dream has a story, and every story deserves to be told.  My name is Durand, and I'm a longtime amateur writer hoping to turn my dream into a profession.

The written word is my therapy.  I enjoy writing about people, experiences, and places.  Most recently, I've invested myself in writing again and sharing my voice with others.  In doing so, it made me realize how truly happy words on paper make me.

Whidbey Island, Washington is where we -- my beautiful wife, Dori, our amazing daughter, Alexa, three cats, two dogs, and a goldfish who's been around since 2003 -- call home.  I feel privileged and humbled to exist in our little slice of nirvana.

As for me, I'm an adventure fan, easily enchanted by a good cup of coffee or an impromptu road trip, and addicted to outdoor gear.  I love to write, and find the appreciation in good advertising copy, well worded text, and visually appealing print media.  Care for our planet, respect for our oceans, and having a heart for those less fortunate makes me whole.
